Mobiloan is at it’s core a comprehensive Loan Management System, and has been developed with the vision of significantly reducing administrative burden by intelligently and systematically ensuring a short term credit providers continued compliance with South African prevailing legislation.
 
Mobiloan was initially developed by Modality Apps which specializes in Business Process Automation as well as developing Enterprise Solutions for businesses.
 
The very foundation of Mobiloan was blueprinted by a team of Microlenders, who have the requisite experience, knowledge and success behind their name. The development team in consultation with legal professionals in the industry have ensured that Mobiloan is not only a tool to assist short term credit providers with their day to day lending and administrative activities but also a robust compliance assistant.
 
From humble beginnings as an internally developed system for a microlending company in KwaZulu Natal to being a strongly advocated for system by our integration partners across South Africa.

Database storage

Mobiloan data is stored in the cloud more specifically, all data is stored in an object orientated database (OODB) on our cloud servers.

The benefit of our data being stored in the cloud is that Mobiloan can be used on multiple devices simultaneously from multiple locations from  anywhere in the world provided, of course, you have an internet connection.

 

Application updates

Mobiloan’s central code repository is also stored in the cloud.

Updates are pushed by developers into the Mobiloan container. This means that users do not need to continuously download separate application updates or manage the application update process.

As soon as an enhancement or improvement has been deployed to production, users of the Mobiloan system are prompted in the application to perform the update.

This also means that our users are able to make requests for changes in line with their existing business models. Developers are then able to rapidly make the changes and deploy the same to the clients instance with little to no business interruption on the clients side.

Collections management

Mobiloan’s collections module allows users and business owners to track failed collections, collections that are past due as well as future dated cash collections.

Collection tickets are created automatically on loan payout when the selected repayment method is cash or when a debit order presentment fails.

The above ensures that businesses are actively informed and are able to track potentially bad debts and empowers them to be proactive, taking action before it is potentially too late.

Client transactional detail

More than simply being able to track when a client is at risk of going bad, Mobiloan also gives you the ability to monitor a clients transaction and payments history via the transactions module.

From within the transactions module you can access the clients individual ledger account, issue client statements as well as provide clients with settlement letters. You can also capture manual payments, process journals between client loans as well as modify or recreate debit order instructions.

Comprehensive reporting

The Mobiloan reporting suite comprises a range of over 100 standard reports together with access to a custom report builder where you are able to choose the fields, groupings and filters for your own unique report.

Our standard reports give you, the business owner insights not only into the financial aspects of your business but also the operational side thereby giving you the tools you need to manage your business.
